It suddenly occurred to me last month that there are so many beautifully designed bathrooms being shared across social media and beyond. And I really wanted to share these emerging (and past, yet sticking around!) Bathroom Trends with the hope that this will inspire you to update or just think about your own Bathroom design.
The content of this post has actually already been shared Exclusively with my email subscribers… It started off as just an experiment but everyone has been so lovely and the response to it has been seriously amazing! – so a massive thank you if you have read my August Newsletter.
As part of my new Newsletter email series, which you can sign up to HERE, I will be sharing more exclusive content on current trends every other month. I started with the Top 5 Bathroom Trends and there is more to follow soon!
Without further ado – here is my Top 5 Bathroom Trends, Right Now …

1. Sherbet Shades
The first Bathroom trend on the list has got to be the Sherbet Shades. Sherbet or Pastel colours are becoming increasingly popular. They add a subtle hunt of colour and playful touch to any Bathroom. All without taking away the minimal and hygienic aesthetic of a modern space.
These colours have been seen to be implemented through the sanitaryware (like feature basins), tiling and paint colour choices. Paired with statement metal finishes for the sanitaryware and accessories (like towel rails, taps and bottle traps) this adds contrast and emphasises the playfulness of this key Bathroom trend.
Interestingly, blush pink and baby blue make up the majority of this trend. Typically found in different shaped and sized tiles. Even tiles are being implemented in more ambitious ways now, such as vertical metro tiles… Which brings me nicely on to the next Hottest Bathroom Trend.

2. Geometric Tiling
Following on from the Sherbet shades, Geometric styled tiles are an easy way to add extra interest and colour into Bathrooms. Tiles are now available with metal trims and inset detailing to add a real luxe factor to them.
Alternatively, Moroccan inspired and handmade tiles add textural qualities to any bathroom design. Small mosaics are becoming favoured for splash backs and shower enclosures.

3. Moody Wallpaper
This Bathroom Trend is perfect for adding character to any downstairs bathroom or powder rooms in particular. Dark painted and patterned wallpaper to all four walls help you to make a bold statement in such small spaces – perfect for guest bathrooms downstairs.
Pair these moody wallpapers with traditional basinware and metals to make the print “pop”.

4. Victorian
The Victorian style Bathroom has been re-invented with modern features. Keeping the traditional tiling to splash back level and painted wall above, pedestal basins and traditional mosaic inspired floor tiles are making a comeback.

An area to be creative in the modern Victorian styled Bathroom is to use colourful tiles to the top of splash back height, paired with metal framed basins. Rounded or quirky shaped mirrors also feature in this popular Bathroom Trend.

5. Modern Industrial
The Modern Industrial bathroom creates a “barely there” feel with its minimal aesthetics. Smooth, but textured in appearance, plaster finishes the walls, whilst concrete effect or terrazzo floor tiles provide added interest.

Floating stone clad vanity units feature among the modern industrial bathroom trend, whilst freestanding timber basins can add warmth to any space.

So there you have it! Those are the Top 5 Bathroom Trends, Right Now which I hope has provided some inspiration for you and your project.
